He married 2) Mary Jane Burke, Berkeley County, Virginia, April 27, 1854. She was a widow, and died prior to 1860. 1860 census, listed as confectioner. Last resided in 1870 in Hedgesville, Berkeley County, West Virginia. Believed to have died in May 1876, perhaps in Shepherdstown, WV.
