Alfred G Kallenberg 89 of Vernon died yesterday in the Newton Memorial Hospital. Services for him will be held at 11AM Wed in the F John Ramsey Funeral home... Mr Kallenberg was a plumber for Ernest Cerulo Plumbing of North Arlington until his retirement in 1965. Mr Kallenberg belonged to the plumbers Union Local 24 in Newark. Born in Newark, he lived in North Arlington and Sarasota FL before moving to Vernon seven months ago. He is survived by his wife Hannah.
Uncle Al was a gentle man and had a positve attitude about life, he was very much like his mother as a kidder. He at the age of 87 could squat down on the floor and rise up several times without a problem. He loved Baseball. He played in the minor league in Arlington. He love Chrysler automobiles. At one time he had a salmon colored Chrysler Imperial. He did not like chicken!
