Henry Christian Arehart, 75, of 108 Ann St. died 11:30 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 15, 19798) at his residence.
He was born Nov. 6, 1902, in Middlebrook, son of Henry O. and Nora (Hawpe) Arehart. He was educated in Middlebrook schools and was a graduate of Dunsmore Business College. Prior to his retirement in 1975, he was an accountant. He was a member of Hebron Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Dorothy (Stover) Arehart; two sons, N. Erskin of Drexel Hill, Pa., and Forrest C. Arehart of Waynesboro; three brothers, Houston L. of Newport News, Oscar L. of Fisherville, and Carey D. Arehart of Staunton; three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Croft of Staunton and Mrs. Amie Coffman and Mrs. Mary Lotts, both of Waynesboro and a grandson.
A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday in Hamrick Funeral HOme by the Rev. Robefrt D. Goshorn. Burial will be in Thornrose Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be J. Andrew Wilson, Elton M. Hewitt Jr., John M. Ott, William A and Ray Diehl and William G. Austin.
Honorary flowerbearers will be nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:30 - 8:30 tonight.
The family suggests that contributions be made to the memorial trust fund of Staunton-Augusta Rescue Squad, 1601 N. Coalter St., Staunton, 24401, or to Staunton - West Augusta Heart Fund, Box 2614, Staunton, 24401.
