Dora A. Hale, 87, of Olney, died Saturday, January 12, 2008, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.
There will be no visitation. Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. today at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Rev. Joel Adams officiating. A private interment of ashes will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Hale was born September 1, 1920, in Edwards County, the daughter of Edwin and Harriett (Knakmuhs) Ahlfield.
She married Howard W. Hale. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1972.
She was a retired computer programmer.
Mrs. Hale is survived by her daughter, Christine Hale, of Ocoee, Fla.; brothers, Jerome Ahlfield of Olney; brother, Carl Ahlfield and his wife, Emmalou of Hammond, Ind.; brother Pete Ahlfield and his wife, Hazel of Ventura, Calif.; twin sisters, Lura Briggs and Laura Spray, both of Olney; brother, Enoch Ahlfield and his wife, Edna of Mason City; brother, James Ahlfield and his wife, Evelyn of Olney; and brother, Herman Ahlfield and his wife, Mary of Clinton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband;; brothers, Henry, Charles and George; and sister, Imogene Scott.
