Laura was born November 10, 1925 in Edwards County to Edwin H. and Harriet (Knakmuchs) Ahlfield. She married Marvin Spray on March 29, 1942 in Kirkwood, Missouri and he preceded her in death on January 28, 1992.
Laura was a homemaker and worked for Red & White Grocery Store in the Deli department in Fairfield from 1993 until her retirement.
Laura is survived by three daughters: Joyce (Frank) Buchanan of Fairfield, Shirley (Bill) Irvine of Geff, and Jean Moore of Mt. Vernon; three brothers: Herman (Mary) Ahlfield of Pana, Enoch Ahlfield of Mason City and James Ahlfield of Olney; one sister, Lura Briggs of Olney; 13 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Pauline and nine siblings.
