There's a discrepancy in the date of death. The newspaper has her funeral before the death date on her gravestone. Since it wasn't printed in the paper until Jan. 12 - it's probably the newspaper that's wrong.

Died - The funeral of Mrs. Anne Bowen, 65, wife of Mr. John Bowen, mother of Mrs. J. A. Scarboro, was preached on the first Sunday in December at Poplar Springs Church. She died of a stroke of paralysis.
