Annie Bettie Lee Leake was born 25 Dec. 1865 in Albermarle County, Virginia, the daughter of Austin Monrol Leake and Emily Arbella Mahanes.
Annie was married to Reuben Festus Suttle on 27 April, 1881, in Dimmock, West Va. To this union were born seven children: Thomas Henry Suttle, Arminta Ethel "Minnie" (Suttle) Farren, John Marshall Suttle, Lester Shirley Suttle, Laura Jane (Suttle) Bennett, Jasper Samuel Suttle, and Reuben Arnie Suttle, who preceded her in death on 19 June 1899 at the age of 2 months, 25 days.
Annie died on 24 June, 1899, at the age of 33 years, 5 months, and 20 days, at Blue Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. Burial was in Suttle Cemetery, Bennett Mountain, West Va.
