Mrs. William Hendricks
A large crowd attended Mr. Lester Shirley Suttle's funeral at Etna, Friday, at 2 o'clock. He was the son of the late Reuben and Ann Leake Suttle and was born in Greenbrier, West Va., February 8, 1891. He departed this life May 8, 1962, having reached the age of 71 years and three months.
He was united in marriage to Verna Acton on March 4, 1917. Two children blessed this union, Mrs. Margie Foley of Eubank, Route 1, and Carl Shirley Suttle, who preceded him in death.
He obeyed the gospel in 1915. At the time of his death he was a member of the Church of Christ at Estesburg but had attended church at Etna for the last years where he will be sadly missed.
Other than his wife and daughter, he is survived by the following brothers and sisters: John and Jasper Suttle of Tampa, Fla., Mrs. Minnie Farren, West Va., Mrs. Laura Bennett of Charleston, West Va., Harry Suttle and Mrs. Dana York of Akron, Ohio. T.H., Reuben and Georgia Suttle have preceded him in death. He leaves a host of friends who mourn his passing.
