Richard Brent Jorgensen was busy fishing when his Father in Heaven called him home on Tuesday, February 9, 2010. He was greeted at a heavenly party by his Mom and Dad, two brothers: Samuel Jay, Alvin Leo, and many other family members, who preceded him in death.

He was born November 1, 1948 in Tooele, Utah to Alvin Udell Jorgensen and Ida Pearl Garrard.

He proudly served as a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and received the Purple Heart while on tour in Vietnam. He retired from working at Hill Air Force Base. Dick had several passions: his wife Sveta, fishing, Sveta, and more fishing. He married Svetlana Martchenkova, the love of his life, on November 2, 2002. They spent eight loving years together playing and enjoying life.

Dick always felt the need to stay connected with those he loved. He was a big hearted man with many friends and family who considered him to be a hero in their lives. Dick's favorite time of year was Christmas because he got to play Santa Claus to many children. Dick was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

He is survived by his best friend and the love of his life, Svetlana, their son Yuri, his brother James Kent and sisters, Debbie Grizzle (Todd) and Gloria Boberg (Joe) and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends.
