Talcut married Matilda Margaret Miller on 4 Jul 1893 in Adair Co, Missouri and had three children: Harold William, Leila and Maude. After her death, he married Charlotte "Louise" Pierce in 1915 in La Crosse, Kansas.

Dies at his home in Scott City Following an Extended Illness

T. R. Snyder, familiarly known as "Tuck" died at his home in this city Sunday following an extended illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 o'clock from the Abel funeral home conducted by Rev. LaVerne Mooris, pastor of the Christian Church and burial was made in the Scott City cemetery.

Mr Snyder was 28 days past his 71st birthday at the time of his death, being born at Kirksville, Mo. Dec 30, 1873. He was son of Hiram and Elizabeth Snyder, and grew to manhood at Kirksville. In 1910 he moved to Rush county, and was married to Charlotte Pierce in 1915. To this union six children were born, all of whom survive. They are Milton, Truman, and Justine Snyder, Mrs. Audrey Douglass of Scott City; a son, Grant is in the armed services overseas; and Mrs Joyce McBeth of Canon City, Colo; also two children in Palm City, Calif., by a former marriage.

He came to Scott county a number of years ago where he farmed and raised stock until about six years ago when he moved to Scott City. His health began to fail two years ago and he steadily grew worse until the time of his death.

Besides his wife and children, Mr Snyder leaves a brother, R. M Snyder of Garden City and two sisters in California, as well as a number of grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
