He was born Aug. 28,1938 in Miller County to Robert Dell and Ida Olive Burks Parkhurst. On Dec. 25, 1963 he was married to Phyllis Gaither Parkhurst who died June 25, 1994.
Mr. Parkhurst was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had been employed with Von Hoffman Press since 1960.
Surviving are a son, Robbie Parkhurst of Iberia, a daughter, Sherry Stanley of Ridgeway, seven grandchildren, and a sister, Shirley Hendricks of Eldon.
funerla services were held at Phililps funeral Home on Sept. 13 and burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Tuscumbia followed.
