Myrtle married Henry Green McFadden on 2 Oct. 1890. They had 4 children they named: Robert Clark, Susie Ann, James Oren and Elton Lee.
They lived on a small 20 acre farm in Barkeyville and produced eggs. There was also a small revenue producing gas well on the farm. The farm eventually went to their son Elton McFadden and Ethel and Dick Yard bought it from Elton later.
One Sunday Myrtle was singeing the pin feathers from the chicken for dinner and a piece of paper went up the chimney, landed on the roof and burned the house down.
She had a stroke about 1937 and her funeral service was held in the McFadden house in Barkeyville.
Notes (Birth): Family records say Myrtle was born on 15 May 1872 and this agrees with the year on her tombstone. However; her Death Certificate (see photo) says she was born on 15 May 1873.
Her "Death Certificate" was supplied by FaG member Becky Dunlap in Oct 2014.
