Mrs. Susan Handy Carr, 59, widow of the late W A Carr, who was a former Trustee of Overton County, died at her home near Sulphur in the 2nd district of Overton County on Saturday, June 8 at 1 a.m., after an illness of three years.
She was a member of the Church of Christ....
Surviving are seven children; five sons, Stanley H Carr, Superintendent of education in Overton County, Willie and Claude Carr of Overton County, Herman Carr of Crossville, and Sim Carr of Nevada; two daughters; Mrs. Myrtle Stewart and Mrs. Dessie Webb; and one brother, Esquire Isaac E Handy.
