MARY BOGGS BURIED MARCH 5

Mary Josephine Boggs, 94, or rural Weldon, died at the Clarke County Public Hospital on Sunday, March 2, 1975. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 5 from the Webster-Kale Funeral Home in Osceola with the Rev. Don Zumwalt officiating at the 2 p.m. rites.

Mary Josephine Boggs was born February 18, 1881 in Mercer, Missouri, daughter of David Wright and Susan Grimes Wright. She was married to Frederick Allen Boggs on July 14, 1901, in Woodburn, Iowa. Five children were born to this union. She was affiliated with the Last Chance Church.

She is survived by a son, Orlan Boggs and wife Merle of Woodburn; daughter, Nina Boggs of Weldon; one grandson; two great-grandsons; and one great great grandson; sister, Fannie Dexter of Humeston; brother, Arthur Wright of Woodburn; brother, Everett Wright of Cushing, Oklahoma; brother Tell Wright of Cushing, Oklahoma; brother, Ben Wright of Cushing, Oklahoma; and brother, Claude Wright of Drunwright, Oklahoma.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Frederick; two children in infancy; one daughter, Rosie; four brothers, George, Pearl, Jess and Alex.

Interment was in Last Chance Cemetery.
