William Shears of Kingsville Dead

KINGSVILLE, May 5 – Death claimed William B. Shears, 80, at his home, Monday noon (4 May 1925). Mr. Shears an old and respected resident of Kingsville, was well known in this section. The deceased was born in Fredonia, N.Y. He was a Civil War veteran and served in Company A of the 29th regiment of the Ohio Volunteer Infantry.

The old soldier is survived by his wife and five children, three daughters and two sons. The daughters are: Mrs. Mac Van Slyke, Sheffield, O. Mrs. Etta Mosley and Mrs. Orson Shaw of Kingsville. The sons are: Webb Shears of North Kingsville and Lee Shears of Kingsville.

The funeral services will be held from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Orson Shaw, Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. Gray will officiate and burial will be made in Lulu Falls cemetery, Kingsville.
