Leigh Bierce Succumbs to Typhoid Pneumonia in New York

Leigh Bierce has succumbed to an attack of typhoid pneumonia in New York. He had been sick for some time, but it was thought he was recovering. The news came yesterday to his mother and sister In Los Angeles by telegraph from the young man's father, Ambrose Bierce, who was with his son at the time of his demise.

Leigh Bierce was at one time engaged in newspaper work in Los Angeles, but went to New York to secure greater opportunities, and both in this city and in the east he gave evidence of having inherited much of the talent of his famous father.

Mr. Bierce's mother and sister reside in Los Angeles, while his father's duties require him to pass most of his time in the east. In addition to these immediate relatives, he is survived by a young widow, to whom he was married but a few months ago.
