Francis "Sonny" LaForce, 62, of Manhattan Drive, Burlington, passed away in Fanny Allen Hospital on Jan.16, 1994, after a brief illness. He was born in Burlington on Feb. 3, 1931, the son of Frank and Mary (Whalley) LaForce. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict. Sonny worked for General Electric for 28 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 793. He was an avid golfer and hunter. Sonny is survived by his wife of 35 years, Joyce Guilmette; his son, David LaForce of Burlington; his two daughters, Margaret LaForce of Winter Park, Fla., and Paula Mullin of Burlington; his granddaughter, Erica Mullin of Burlington; five brothers, Ray, Bob, Tom, Ronnie, and Pat LaForce; and three sisters, Alberta Aikey, Lorraine Bailey, and Colleen Myers. He was predeceased by his mother, Mary LaForce in 1979, his father, Frank LaForce in 1946, and by his sister Edna Russell in 1949. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Home, 85 N. Winooski Ave., Burlington. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Arrangements are by Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Directors.
