ROBERT LaFORCE BURLINGTON Robert LaForce, 85, of Burlington died in Birchwood Terrace Health Care on Dec. 28, 2003. He was born in Burlington on Nov. 5, 1918, son of Frank E. and Mary A. (Whaley) LaForce. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge. Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing; his happiest times were when he was at Abe's camp with family and friends. Bob is survived by three brothers and their wives, Tommy and Blanche, Ronnie and Betty, and Pat Laforce, all of Burlington; two sisters, Lorraine Bailey of Los Angeles, Calif., and Colleen Myers and her husband, Pete, of Burlington; two sisters-in-law, Joyce LaForce of Burlington and Dorothy LaForce of Winooski; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; three sisters, Edna, Iona, and Alberta; and three brothers, Albert, Sonny, and Ray. The family would like to give a special thanks to everyone at Birchwood Terrace Healthcare for going that extra mile for “Bob“ and also to all of the people at VNA, who were involved in Bob's life. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Home, 85 N. Winooski Ave., Burlington, with interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Visiting hours will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, Mass. 01701, or to the American Cancer Society, 11 Loomis St., Montpelier, Vt. 05602-3021. Arrangements are by Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Directors.
