Mr. and Mrs. Jason Walker of Huntsville received word Sunday night that their son, Arlis Walker of Prineville, Ore., died of a heart attack there about 11 o'clock Sunday morning. The young man, who was 23 years of age, had suffered with rheumatic fever for some time.
At the time of his death, he was in swimming with a group which included his two brothers, and suffered a heart attack while he was in the water. He died before medical aid could be summoned.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, of Prineville; two brothers, Ottie and Boyd Walker of Prineville, and three sisters, Mrs. Imogene Bailey of Hawkinsville, Ga., Donna Cain and Mrs. Geneva Keck of Huntsville.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete, pending arrival of the body from Prineville, but burial will be in the Whorton cemetery.

Funeral services for Arlis Walker, 25, who died of a heart attack in Oregon last week, were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the chapel of the Brashears Funeral Home here with Rev. Den Montgomery of Springdale conducting the services. Burial was in the Wharton cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Bill Parson, J. O. Fowler, Granville Cain, Hershel Harrington, Walter Walker and Dewell Walker.
