ROSELAND – Nellie Adams Campbell, 73, of Roseland, died Sunday (March 24, 1996) in Rustburg. She was born March 29, 1922, in Nelson County, a daughter of the late Charles Lewis and Nellie Stevens Adams.

Mrs. Campbell was a member of Evergreen Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Tinsley Campbell; a brother; and a sister.

Survivors include one son, Kifferly Campbell of Amherst; two daughters, Louise Powell of Rustburg and Lillie Gregory of Lyndhurst; three brothers, Robert Adams of Roseland, Willie Adams of Amherst and John Lewis Adams of Glasgow; three sisters, Annie Lunsford of Roseland, and Phyllis Evers and Mary Murray, both of Lynchburg; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Byrum-Parr Funeral Home by the Rev. Michael R. Fitzgerald with burial in Jonesboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and at other times at the home of her daughter, Louise Powell and her son, Kifferly Campbell.

Mrs. Campbell is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Campbell of Amherst; two sons-in-law, David Powell of Rustburg and Gary Gregory of Lyndhurst.
