Nicholas Sawyer, one of the oldest citizens of Hillsdale died Sunday of liver complaint, aged about 82 years. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Hillsdale Church, conducted by Rev. Berkheimer, after which the remains were taken to Waubonsie Cemetery for interment. The deceased was an honored member of the IOOF lodge of Hillsdale, which order had charge of the burial services. A number of the members of Tabor lodge attended the services at the cemetery.
