According to the 1910 census, "Annie" lived with her grandparents, George W. Brown and Martha J. Brown. However, family members report that DNA tests indicate that Annie's parents were George Washington Brown and Ella "Ellie" White.

Annie married William Harrison Raby in the late 1920's. They were the parents of 7 children, and he worked as a truck driver and laborer.

The family lived in St. Charles County, Missouri, but later moved to Bridgeton, St. Louis County, Missouri.

William passed away in 1965.

Around 1977, Annie moved to Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon.

She lived until late 1981 when she died at a hospital in Portland at the age of 76 years, 8 months and 11 days.

She was survived by 3 sons, James W. Raby of St. Ann, Missouri, John E. Raby of Everett, Washington, and Frank Raby of Portland; 3 daughters, Frances Hicks of Portland, Dorothy White of St. Ann, and Esther Alridge of St. Charles; 25 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Amos Brown of Kansas City, Frank Brown and John Brown, both of Mount Leonard, Missouri; and 3 sisters, Minnie Sinnett, Sue Tickemyer and Sarah Rooks, all of Blackburn, Missouri.

Visitation was held on 07 Dec 1981 at Prinster-Paul Funeral Home in St. Charles, Missouri. Funeral services were conducted there at 1 p.m. the following afternoon. Annie was buried next to her husband, William.
