Minnie Sinnett, 85, of Gilliam, died Monday, July 20, 2009, at Golden Living Center in Glasgow.

Cremation. Memorial services will be held Friday, July 24, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater, with Rev. Robert Sisney officiating. Bethany Weiker, organist, will play "Amazing Grace" and "One Day at a Time."

Born Sept. 7, 1923, in Blackburn, she was the daughter of the late George and Ella White Brown. On July 18, 1958, in Slater, she married Harry Sinnett, who preceded her in death March 12, 1997. She was a member of Gilliam Baptist Church and a longtime Gilliam area resident.

She is survived by two sons, Oscar Clevenger of Clinton and Sterling Wright of Gilliam; three daughters, Mary Shaffer of Slater, Carrie Vaughn of Gilliam and Lillian Gage of Kansas City; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sisters ; Anna May Raby, Rosie Sinnett, Susan Matilda Brown, Sarah Brown Rooks. Three brothers; John Brown, Amos Henry Brown,James Franklin "Frank" Brown:

Half siblings brothers Charles Brown,George Washington Brown, Jr. Half sibling sisters Sarah "Sallie" A. Brown, Mattie M. Brown, Travis J Brown

and one great-grandson.
