Rites for Edward G. Nordenstrom held in Fargo


Edward G. Nordenstrom died Thursday, April 22, at the Oak Terrace Nursing Home at Minnetonka where he had resided for the past two months. He moved there from Sunshine Villa in Mora where he had lived since the death of his wife, Ruby Nordenstrom Dec. 31, 1975.

Funeral services were held at the Boulger Chapel in Fargo and interment was in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fargo, N.D., where his wife is also interred.

Nordenstrom spent the majority of his life of 82 years in Kanabec County where he raised his family of 10 children. They lived and went to school in Mora, Brook Park, Ogilvie and Henriette. His business took the family to Fargo, N.D., in 1956 where they resided until 1976.

Edward G. Nordenstrom was born Sept. 28, 1896, in Grass Lake Township, Kanabec County and married Ruby Howell of Hinckley Aug. 13, 1921.

He is survived by six sons and three daughters; one brother; 30 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
