OGILVIE MAN'S BROTHER DIES IN AUTO CRASH
Charles V. Nordenstrom of Mora was killed almost instantly in an auto crash Sunday evening about 8:30 p.m. three miles east of Gilman, near Foley, when the car was struck on the right side in an intersection by a car driven by Thomas Jezierski of Foley.
Charley Nordenstrom is a brother of Ed Nordenstrom, Ogilvie, and has numerous acquaintances in Ogilvie and vicinity.
With Nordenstrom was his wife, Eunice, who was badly bruised and suffered a broken rib, but was no seriously injured. Mrs Jezierski was mortally injured, being taken to the Foley hospital, where she died the following morning.
According to reports, both drivers apparently misjudged the speed of each other, as the intersection was clear. The Nordenstrom car went into the ditch and overturned, throwing Nordenstrom out. It was completely demolished. The Jezierski car remained upright, being badly damaged about the front end.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 26, at 2:00 p.m. in the Emmanuel Baptist church of Mora, with Rev. H.E. Johnson officiating. Mr. and Mrs. George Bjorklund will sing. The Dresser Mortuary has charge of arrangements. Burial will be made in the cemetery at Mora.
Survivors include Mrs. Nordenstrom; four sons; two daughters; five brothers; and two sisters.
When the accident happened, Nordenstrom was enroute to Alexandria, where he had been working on a construction job.
