Mrs. Hannah Gertrude Sargent died yesterday at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Alice Thomas of Fern Hill. Mrs. Sargent was 71 years of age, having been born in Indiana on October 3, 1839, and was the widow of William Sargent.
Besides her daughter, Mrs. Thomas, she is survived by other children, who are Mrs. Clara Graham of Okanogan, Mrs. Sadie Williamson of Los Angeles, W. O. Sargent of Ankeny, Iowa; George E. Sargent of Kapowsin, Otis A. Sargent of Seattle and Leo Sargent of Tacoma.
The remains were removed to the C. C. Mellinger company's residence pending funeral arrangements.
