ANDREWS - G. Clifford Bone, 73, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 1998, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 4, 1925, in the Sampit community of Georgetown County, a son of the late Leonard Walker Bone and Maggie Richardson Bone.

He lived all of his life in the Sampit community and attended Oak Grove School.

Mr. Bone was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater. He also participated in the invasion of Iwo Jima. He was a self-employed commercial fisherman and attended the Christian Fortress.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanet Floyd Bone of Andrews; two daughters, Glenda B. Wilder and Yvonne B. Carroll, both of Georgetown; a stepson, Marty Harris of Greenwood; a stepdaughter, Julie Harris of Greenwood; a brother, F.A. Bone of Andrews; a sister, Neely B. Mercer of Georgetown; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the Christian Fortress. The Rev. Geraldine Bednego will officiate. Burial will be at Sampit United Methodist Cemetery.
