Mrs. Burgess, Polk county resident for 63 years, died Monday at her home as the result of a fall. She was born in Jennings county, Ind.
Surviving are one daughter, Miss Nora Burgess, Elkhart; six sons, Arthur Burgess, Puyallup, Wash.; Perry Burgess, Forestburg, Alberta, Can.; Gerry Burgess, Kirbyville, Mo.; Jim H. and Almond Burgess, Elkhart; and Floyd Burgess, Des Moines; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
