Almond Burgess, 93, of Fountain West health Care Center, 1501 Office Park Road, West Des Moines died of a heart ailment Tuesday at home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Christian Church in Elkhart Cemetery.
Mr. Burgess a retired farmer was born in rural Elkhart and lived there most of his life before moving to West Des Moines 18 years ago. He was a member of the Christian church.
Five nephews and nine nieces survive.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
