She married Jacob Myers Aug. 27, 1915 in Evansville. They had one child, Betty June, on Feb. 3, 1924. Jacob had a drug store in Kansas City, Kan., worked for a time in a confectionary store and also travelng throughout the Midwest selling hair tonic products and barber supplies for men for DeVries Toiletries, his daughter said in 2007. In 1920, they lived on South Clifton Street in Wichita, Kan., with Jacob working as a traveling salesman and Margaret as a saleswoman. Also in the household is a son, Wayne, age 13, apparently born to Jacob and a previous wife in Illinois. Jacob died May 12, 1930 in Jeffersonville, Ind., when Betty was about 6. His death certificate indicates he was buried in Linton, Ind.
Because of the Depression, Margaret went to work as a housekeeper in Louisville, Ky., leaving Betty with Aunt Mayme and Uncle Walter Baldwin. About 1933 or '34, Margaret remarried to Ed Daumont, a bank officer for whom she had worked as housekeeper in Louisville. Betty Taft later called him as a "very fine man." Betty lived with them for about three years until Margaret died of lobar pneumonia Nov. 8, 1937 in Louisville.
Margaret is buried at St. Joseph Cemetery in Evansville in a family plot with her parents and several siblings, but there is no individual marker for her.
