Nancy Eubank married Samuel "Sam" H. Byars in 1861. Sam Byars enlisted in Capt. J.H. Dillahunty's militia in Palo Pinto County in 1863.

Mrs. Nancy Byars married Marion Lee Lasater on 29 March 1866 at Palo Pinto, Palo Pinto County, Texas. Seven children were born to this union. He preceded her in death as Sheriff of Young County, Texas.

At 3:00, July 25th, death again visited our town. This time Mrs. N.C. Lasater was called away from this earth to that land of eternal rest, peace, and happiness. Mrs. Lasater was a fond and loving wife and mother. At an early age, she professed faith in Jesus and lived a devoted Christian life. Services were held at her home officiated by Rev. G.W. Black, pastor of First Baptist Church. The weather was gloomy and threatened rain, a large crowd was present at the graveside. All will remember Mrs. Lasater's kindness. She was a sweet friend and loved by all.

She was buried beside her daughter.
