Julia Frances Byars married Robert MacDonald Williams in 1881 in Palo Pinto County, Texas. The couple moved their cattle to Young County in 1884 taking up residence in a one-room log cabin. After living 19 years at Duff Prairie, the couple moved to Ming Bend. Through the years, Mrs. Williams was a ready helper to her husband, riding side saddle when an extra rider was needed with the cattle. In 1914, the couple moved to Graham,m Texas. He preceded her in death.

Services for Julia F. Williams, 87, were held at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Dallas Lee, pastor, officiating. She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church. Her grandfather, Noah T. Byars was a noted Baptist pioneer preacher and was one of the founders of Howard Payne College. It was at his blacksmith shop in Washington on the Brazos that the Declaration of Texas Independence was signed. Julia Williams was preceded in death by one son - Sam Williams and one daughter, Florence. Mrs. Williams was a faithful member of the Baptist Church in Graham, Texas. She was active in all church affairs until 1940.

Survived by one son; two sisters; three grandchildren.
