A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 15, 1998, in Lincoln Willamette Funeral Directors Chapel for Elmer Everett Carter , who died of meningitis June 12 at age 81.
Mr. Carter was born Aug. 16, 1916, in Sandlake. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a home builder. He married Ismaela Tangenie in 1992.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Gary E. and Joel E., both of Portland; brother, Russell of Hillsboro; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery.
