Edd was the son of Homer D. and Silla Langston Killion. His parents are buried in Fields Chapel Cemetery. He was a 1937 graduate of Slocum High School. He served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific from 1939. On December 7, 1941. He was a merchant marine from 1946 to 1951. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Post 3907. Edd was a member of Fields Chapel Methodist Church. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad. He shares a stone with his wife, Anita Joyce Gilmore Killion, who he married 9 December 1949. He was residing in Palestine, TX at the time of his death in a Tyler hospital 27 March 2003. He was survived by two daughters, Tami Jill Killion and Tina Joy Killion Bartz of Palestine; two sisters, Dot Hinson of Palestine and Aman Walling of Tyler; one brother, Hiawatha "Pont" Killion of Palestine; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson. His obituary was published in the Palestine Herald-Press, Friday, 28 March 2003.
