BLACKVILLE - Funeral service for Theo Lott Bodiford, 88, will be held three p.m. Friday, December 26, 2008, at Blackville First Baptist Church with Dr. Thomas Terry officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be in Blackville Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Blackville First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 217, Blackville, SC 29817. Mrs. Bodiford died Tuesday, December 23, at her home.
Born in Blackville, she was a daughter of the late Leon William and Geneva Givens Lott. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service. She was a very active member of Blackville First Baptist Church where she served for sixty-two years in the children's department as superintendent, was a Sunday School teacher and was awarded a pen for fifty-one consecutive years attendance in Sunday school. She was a member of the UDC. She was married to the late Judson David Bodiford, Sr.
Survivors include daughter, Barbara B. and Sonny Still; sons, Judson David "Dave" Bodiford, Jr., Bill and Jan Bodiford; sisters, Audrey L. Bodiford and Marjorie L. Williams, all of Blackville; grandchildren, Cynthia Still Boots, Henry David "Hal" Still V, Audrey Neureuther, Geni Bodiford Hutson; great-grandchildren, Bain Vaughn, Charles Buist, Spencer Still, Reese Neureuther; great-great-grandchild, Wylder Vaughn.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Lott Hair, brothers, Leon Ronald Lott, Sr., Frank B. Lott, Paul G. Lott and Leon William Lott, Sr.
