OBITUARY, The Correctionville News, 12 February 1931, page 1:

Isaac Coon, former resident of Correctionville, passed away Friday, February 6, 1931, at the home of his son, Harry Coon, in Chicago and was laid to rest on Monday, being 68 years of age.

Isaac was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Coon, and lived in this community until seventeen years ago when he moved to Minnesota, in which state he resided until seven years ago when he went to Chicago which as since been his home.

He leaves to mourn his passing his widow, whose parents were Mr. and Mrs. Alex Varvel, who were among the oldest settlers of Correctionville; one son, Harry Coon; and two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Uvaas and Mrs. Carl Migg all of Chicago; also two brothers, John of Correctionville and Mrs. Mary Worthan of Billings, Montana, besides a host of relatives and friends. Burial was made in Mount Hope Cemetery.
