Evalena Galloway Hewett, 88, of Civietown Road SW, Supply, NC, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at Brunswick Community Hospital, Supply, NC.
Mrs. Hewett was born in Supply, NC, on October 5, 1918, a daughter of the late Thomas N. and Ida Galloway. She was predeceased by her husband, Icel Kilmer Hewett, and one daughter, Betty Croft; three sisters, Zettie Singletary, Castille Kirby, and Hallie Zettlemoyer, and one grandson, Charles Bazen Jr.
She is survived by two sons, Benjamin K. Hewett of Supply, NC, and Mitchell B. Hewett of Chambersburg, PA; a daughter, Beverly Bazen of Supply, N C, and Bonnie Inman, and husband, Tommy, of Shallotte, NC; a brother, Elbert Galloway of Supply, NC; six sisters, Effie Robinson, Lyda Clemmons, Etha Mae Robinson, and Helen Galloway, all of Supply, NC; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 18, 2007, at 11 a.m. in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel by Rev. Tommy Inman and Rev. Landis Lancaster. Burial will follow in Georgetown-Holden Cemetery, Supply, NC.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Casketbearers will be Gene Barrett, Travis Elliott, Michael Bazen, Michael Bazen Jr., Gregory Hewett and Benjamin Hewett.
Honorary Casketbearers will be Ronald Hewett and Pete Singletary.
