Benjamin Kilmer "Benny" Hewett,76 of Supply died Friday August 5, 2022 at his home.
Mr. Hewett was born in Brunswick County on October 6, 1945 and was the son of the late Icel Kilmer Hewett and Evalena Galloway Hewett. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Croft and Beverly Bazen. Benny was a U.S. Army Veteran and served as an weapons specialist. He retired from DuPont after 40 plus years of employment. He loved the outdoors and spending time in the river. He was an avid gardener and loved sharing his vegetables with others.
He is survived by two sons, Benjamin Hewett of Supply and Gregory Hewett of Mooresville, NC; three granddaughters, Ashlyn Hewett of Shallotte, Brittany Hewett of New York and Hannah Hewett of Myrtle Beach, SC; a brother, Mitchell Hewett of Supply; a sister, Bonnie Inman and husband Tommy of Shallotte.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday August 12, 2022 at eleven o'clock in the morning at White Funeral and Cremation Service, Bolivia Chapel. Burial will follow in the Georgetown-Holden Cemetery.
