SUPPLY - Mr. Icel Kilmer Hewett, age 84, of Civietown Road, went to be with his Lord on Friday, August 18, 2006, at his residence.
Born in Brunswick County on September 8, 1921, he was a son of the late Ishan and Gertie Simmons Hewett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Hewett Croft; and a grandson, Charles Bazen, Jr.

He was a retired commercial fisherman, and he and his wife owned and operated Hewetts Seafood for many years.

Surviving are his wife, Evalene Galloway Hewett of the home; two sons, Bennie Hewett of Supply and Mitchell Hewett of Chambersburg, PA; two daughters, Beverly Bazen, of Supply and Bonnie Inman and her husband Tommy of Shallotte; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Monday, August 21, 2006, in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by The Rev. Tommy Inman and The Rev. Landis Lancaster. Burial will follow in the Georgetown-Holden Cemetery, Supply, NC.
