Funeral for Eva P. Akard, 81, of 3814 1/2 Lee Blvd., who died Sunday in a local hospital after a brief illness, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. N.N. Antonson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. in Fairview Cemetery, Memphis, Tex., under direction of Becker Funeral Home.

Mrs. Akard was born Aug. 25, 1895, in Cooper, Tex. She was married to Robert C. Akard June 17, 1911, in Cooper. He died in 1947. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons: Eldon, California; John, Baltimore, Md.; J.D. Akard, Coffeyville, Kan.; and Charles, 409 NW 74th; four daughters: Mrs. Pauline Whitlock, Childress, Tex.; Mrs. Bobbie Vogt, Tulsa; Mrs. Joyce Byers, Denver, Colo.; and Miss Barbara Ann Akard, Lawton; a sister, Mrs. Lallie Dawson, Cooper, Tex.; 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
