OGDEN - Alice Talbot Behling, 91, died peacefully in her sleep, August 19, 2007, attended by family. She was born January 12, 1916 in Garland, Utah, daughter of Margaret Isabella Hunter and Merlin Alma Talbot.

She graduated from Ogden High School and attended Weber College, where she enjoyed studying English and Music. From her earliest childhood she loved reading. Her intellectual curiosity and appreciation of beauty enriched her keen mind. She was conversant in a broad variety of topics, constantly increasing her knowledge. She was always physically active, enjoying sports, dance, hiking, gardening, and exercise.

Alice was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and LeRoy Behling met while attending what was then the Ogden 8th Ward and were later married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 16, 1936. They were the loving parents of three children.

Alice's greatest achievement and joy was her family. She kept in touch with them in all of their doings. She also included many friends as family. She had a special gift for delighting in children, and they delighted in her.

She loved teaching the young women, the Blazer Boys, and all age groups in Primary. In her later years Alice was also called as Relief Society chorister, which she thoroughly enjoyed for 35 years.

Talbot, Brigham City; her sister, Mary Talbot Purcell, Layton; and her children, David LeRoy Behling, Cody, WY, Sally Behling Bohman, Fairfax, VA and Holly Behling Stuart, Salt Lake City.
