C. A. DRURY, 79, died at his home in Stanley at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, after a lingering illness. Mr. Drury was the father of Patrolman Charles E. Drury of the Owensboro police department. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Modesta Ann Drury; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Gaw, Detroit, Mich.; three sons, Archie, Utica, Paul V., Stanley, and Charles E., Owensboro; 29 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Tom Lefler, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Joe Westecker, Owensboro, and Mrs. Faron Jemison, Celina, O.; one brother, Ed Drury, Owensboro, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Peter's church, Stanley, the Rev. Martin Nahstoll, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be James A. Gaw, John C. Gaw, Charles H. Drury, Jr., Archie Drury, Jr., Richard J. Drury, and Joseph L. Drury.
