ARCHIE JOSEPH DRURY, SR., 80, of 1625 Walnut St., Owensboro, died Monday Feb. 25, 1980, at his home. He was born in Daviess County, was a retired farmer and contractor, was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral, St. Vincent dePaul, Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society, past post commander of American Legion, 40 & 8, and was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his wife Margaret G. Drury; three sons, Arch Drury, Jr. of Owensboro, John Michael Drury of Louisville, Thomas Frederick Drury of Livermore; five daughters, Mrs. James (Anna) Klein, Mrs. Robert (Charlotte) Hayden, both of Owensboro, Miss Mary Margaret Drury of Madisonville, Mrs. Charles (Rosalia) Maddrey of Williamsburg, Va., Mrs. Rick (Antoinette) Winterson of Switzerland; a brother, Paul V. Drury of Stanley; five step grandchildren; 25 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Stephen Cathedral. Burial in St. Peters Cemetery, Stanley. Visitation after 11 a.m. today at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home where Daughters of Isabella will say prayers at 6:30 p.m. and other prayers will be said at 7. The family requests that expression of sympathy may take the form of donations to Wendell foster Center or the donor's favorite charity.
