Frances was born on the Bliss family farm, located on Geyer Road, N.-N.E. of Buchanan, Berrien County Michigan.
After her father died in 1938, at the age of 42 (when Frances was "almost" four years old), her mother moved the family into town. Frances grew up at 119 South Cayuga Street, in Buchanan, Michigan.

Francis graduated from the Buchanan High School in Buchanan, Michigan.

to William Herbert "Bill" Batchelor,
the son of
Herbert Nathan Batchelor (1906-1973),
and his wife
Marjorie Mae Kool (1911-1986),
of Buchanan, Michigan.

before she and Bill left Buchanan,
Michigan, and moved down South.

including, Stuart, Florida (in 1973),
Port Salerno, Florida (in 1975),
and later in Englewood, Florida.

Frances and Bill were later divorced.

Frances died in the Punta Gorda Elderly Care Center, Inc., in Punta Gorda, Charlotte County Florida, age 73.
