Mrs. Edith Beard Belton Dies at Brockway
Mrs. James Belton, nee Edith Beard, of DuBois, died at 5:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at her home in Brockway, where she had been a protracted sufferer from heart trouble.
She was a native of Dubois, the daughter of the late Warren and Mrs. Beard, and received her early education in DuBois, later teaching school at Altoona, New Bethlehem and elsewhere until her marriage eight years ago with James Belton. Since then she had resided in Brockway, where she held the respect and esteem of a wide circle of friends.
She was 32 years of age at the time of her death, having been born on February 25, 1909.
She is survived by her husband, her mother, Mrs. Erie Beard; and three brothers, Arden, of Rockton; and Louis and James, of Clearfield.
No details for the funeral had been completed on Thursday evening.

Largely attended funeral services were held on Sunday for the late Mrs. James Belton, of Brockway, whose death occurred on July 3. Services were held at the Belton home in Brockway and the body was brought to the Rumbarger Cemetery where interment was made. Rev. Paul Scott, of the Brockway Methodist Church officiated.
