Springfield - Services for Fred O'Neal Whittle, 81, will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 7-9 tonight at Folk Funeral Home, Williston. Mr. Whittle died Monday. Born in Barnwell County, he was a son of the late Mark Mark and Lillie Kay Odom Whittle. Surviving are his wife, Victoria Tindall Whittle of Springfield; daughter, Margie Foy of Aiken; sons, Rodney Whittle and Larry Whittle, both of Springfield; brother, Clarence Whittle of Springfield; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. © The State, Columbia, SC, 21 Jul 1999
