Mr. Lary "Buck" Thompson, 78, died May 14, 1991, at his residence after an extended illness. The funeral was at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. David Buie officiating and burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Thompson, a native of Screven County, was a meat cutter at Archie Bazemore, Lovett Bazemore and Moates IGA for many years. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World. Survivors include his wife, Vetta Weaver Thompson; two daughters, Beverly Friese and Jeanine Scott, both of Sylvania; two sons, Alton Thompson and Hayward Thopson, both of Sylvania; two sisters, Dahlia Gross and Alma Shuman, both of Sylvania; and 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
