WILBUR CARPENTER
---Wilbur Graves Carpenter, fifty-three, a farmer living southwest of La Plata, died from a heart attack Monday afternoon at his home.
---He was found dead when his wife and her father returned from a trip to town.
---Funeral services were held at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. Fred L. Hudson at the Presbyterian Church and burial was made in the La Plata cemetery.
---Mr. Carpenter was born in Macon County December 21, 1886, the only son of John C. and Joella Carpenter.
---He was married October 18, 1918 to Emma Ruth Buck of Macon.
---Surviving are his wife and two sisters, Mrs. Tina Hertzler of Elmer and Mrs. Nellie Shepherd of Souix City, Iowa; two nephews, Lawrence Hertzler of Atlanta and Leonard Shepherd of Minneapolis, Minnesota and one niece, Esther Rowan of Kansas City.
