Hospital in Belleville, Ks., on August 2, 1973. she had reached the age of 89 years, 3 months and 12 days.

In 1892 she moved with her parents to a farm near Hastings, Nebraska, where she attended school in Adams County.

On Feb. 5, 1913, she was united in marriage with Calvin Clarence Dake of Orleans, Nebr. They came to Republic Co., Kansas in 1915. To this union four children were born: Frances (Mrs. Harry Stradley) of Hubbell; Adrian of Munden, Ks.; Martha (Mrs. W.B. Agee) of Wheatridge, Colo.; and Kenneth of Chester.

She was converted at an early age and united with the United Brethern Church, later uniting with the Chester Church of Christ where she was an active member as long as her health permitted. She was also a member of the Rose Creek Club in charter form.

Her father was a Civil War veteran and she lost her mother at the age of 12 years. After her mother's passing, she helped care for three brothers and two sisters. She always had a tender place in her heart to anyone who lost their mother as a child.

Four years ago it became necessary to amputate her right leg and just recently the left one also.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1952, her parents, two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her children; one sister, Mrs. Earl Smith of Hastings; one brother, Leonard Ferguson of San Diego, Calif.; a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews; one daughter-in-law; two sons-in-law; and a great host of friends.
