Mrs. Mary Louisa (Certain) Taylor, 408 South Cottage Grove avenue, died last evening at 8:30 o'clock at the home after an illness of several months.
She was born in Wilmington, Ohio, March 18, 1850 and moved to Illinois about 52 years ago. She had resided in Urbana for the past 17 years. Her husband, Jacob Taylor, died in 1923.
Surviving are five children, Mrs. Mary Matilda Webb, Mrs. May Elizabeth Collings, Mrs. Ella Jane Sullivan, all of Urbana, Mrs. Myrtle Augusta Lacey of Homer, Henry B. Taylor of Urbana, four brothers, Duncan M. Certain and John Wesley Certain of Wilmington, Ohio, H. Sherman Certain and Edward Certain of Fairmount, one sister, Mrs. Matilda J. Taylor of Fairmount.
The body is at the Leonard chapel but will be taken home this evening. Definite funeral arrangements have not been made but burial will be made at the Davis cemetery at Fairmount and Rev. R. H. Heicke of Urbana will officiate.
